Vancouver-based indie rockers the Shilohs have released a new video for their catchy song ‘English Roads,’ and Diffuser.fm is hosting the exclusive premiere. Although the clip tells a rather frustrating story of love gone wrong, its alluring scenery, paired with the tune’s invigorating vocals, make for a thoroughly enjoyable (albeit dreamlike) experience.
“This is based on a dream I had,” the Shilohs’ Johnny Payne says of the video. “I was walking home drunk, very late at night in Vancouver, and I stumbled upon a couple of young dudes playing basketball. I joined in, shared their red wine, played some horse, but I just couldn’t make a basket. I was throwing up bricks all over the place. Eventually it seemed like they wanted me to leave so I set off into the night … Oh, and I was in love with a girl who didn’t love me.”
If you like what you see and want to catch the Shilohs on tour this summer, you’re in luck — they have a series of shows lined up to promote their new record. Check out the itinerary below, and be sure to visit their Facebook page for more info.
